We’ll send you our Franchise Disclosure Document, help you 
get answers to your questions, and provide you the opportunity 
to speak with current franchise owners.

Franchise Application

Complete our franchise application and confirm your investment and operating capabilities to undertake the business.

Step 5

Discovery day

Join us for a day at the Steak ‘n Shake Headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana to meet the team, finalize your due diligence, and set a plan and timetable for moving ahead toward opening your location.

Step 6

Franchise and Development Agreement

Review and sign the Steak ‘n Shake franchise agreement. For those accepted for multi-unit growth plans, we’ll also sign a development agreement outlining territory and timing for franchise openings.

Step 7

real estate, design, and construction

Work with our corporate team and local real estate professionals to find a great location. Then our design and construction team jumps in to assist with architecture and construction management.

Step 8

Training

Steak ‘n Shake franchisee training gives you the knowledge, tools, and confidence to ensure the smooth opening of your new restaurant.

Step 9

Grand Opening

We celebrate the grand opening of your Steak ‘n Shake restaurant and provide on-site support and marketing to hold a successful opening day.
